Where is the Villa Located?
The Villa Melissa is located on Queens Fort, Porters, St. James, Barbados. Its common in Barbados to refer to the island in terms of West, East and South Coast. The South & East coast is known for its surfing and the West Coast is known for its serene beaches, perfect for swimming.

What if I wanted to book other activities?
We could absolutely arrange for that! We are thrilled to be parterning with Sarah Young, Barbados best concierge company, so if you are looking for a specific vibe or special activity to add on to your retreat experience, we can help! We are talking beach picnics, villa massages and sunset boat tours.

What if i want to do more than 2 reformer classes and where are we doing the reformer classes?
Who wouldn't want to do more reformer classes? We get it! Additional reformer classes, as well as private sessions with Ellie & Lex, are absolutely possible. Simply let us know how many classes you're interested in, and we’ll provide you with the additional cost.
We’re excited to be teaming up with Performer, Barbados' best reformer studio. Lex spent the winter of 2025 teaching at Performer, and it was a dream! Plus, the studio is just a 5-minute drive from the Villa!

Do I need a car?
This is a great question! If you want to explore the island on your own, it's not a bad idea. However, there are buses that run throughout the island, which are safe and easy to use. If you're looking to rent a car, we can help arrange that for you. For any group activities covered by the Villa, transportation will be provided. Just a heads-up, they drive on the other side of the road, ...and it’s a bit like driving in a video game—tight roads, big buses, randomly stopped cars, and people walking in the streets. So, we recommend it only for confident drivers!
